English and German Congregation of Kingston, Jamaica. |
In consequence of the demise of the lamented Issachar, and the more recent resignation of the Rev. Mr. Nathan, this congregation is left without a minister. We have been requested to give publicity to the fact, and to state, that the congregation is anxious to engage two persons, who are to be every way qualified for the sacred calling, and must be able to deliver English discourses. The salary of each will be 1250 dollars per annum, a residence in the Synagogue House, free of rent, medical attendance, marriage fees, and Matzoth on Paysach. Besides which they might increase their income by establishing of a school, for which it is said there is an excellent opening. For particulars, applicant will address the vestry at Kingston, or Daniel Jacobs, Esq., now at New York. |
