Some young Israelites of this city [Philadelphia] have lately formed a Society for mutual improvement, under the name of Ohabé Lemudah, and have elected the following young gentlemen as their officers for the following year: Louis A. Green, President; David D. Van Beil, Vice President; Henry Samuel, Treasurer; Henry S. Allen, Librarian; Isaac Hackenburg, Secretary, and Joseph R. Levy and Charles D. Elfelt, Managers. At the last election of the Hebrew Fuel Society of Philadelphia, the following gentlemen were elected officers for the current year: Zadok A. Davis, President; Isaac Leeser, Vice President; David Samuel, Treasurer; Moses A. Dropsie, Secretary, and Jacob Ulman, Samuel Lyons, Abraham Hart, Henry Cohen, David Pesoa, A. S. Wolf, H. Van Beil, Louis Bomeisler, I. J. Phillips, Julius Jacob, M. Michelbacher and J. L. Moss, Managers. |
